Forest Fridays
Nature-based learning in the Redwoods of Ohlone Land
Forest Fridays are offered in eight-week cycles beginning the first Friday of October. This program invites children into the living classroom of the Redwoods to practice mindfulness, explore ancestral ways of relating to land, and nurture a grounded sense of belonging. Together we learn what it means to be good stewards of Ohlone Land—listening to the forest, honoring Indigenous presence, and remembering that we are part of a larger web of life. Through mindful play, storytelling, and nature-based exploration, children cultivate awareness, respect, and resilience—seeds that grow into both personal transformation and collective care.
